DRUGS AND ALCOHOL POLICY

Ultvigor Construction Company Limited is committed to complying with all its legislative obligations and to achieving a safe and healthy working environment for our personnel, community, subcontractors and clients.

It is our policy to provide safe and stimulating working environment for our employees by recognizing the potential negative effects of alcohol and illicit drugs on company operations, the health and safety of its employees, community, subcontractors and clients. The company aims to foster an attitude among its stakeholders that it is unacceptable to work or interact with their employees and operations
under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs.

Ultvigor Construction Company Limited is committed to:

  • Providing a safe working environment for all employees, contractors and other stakeholders by eliminating hazards created byinappropriate use of alcohol and illicit drugs.
  • Providing education and training in hazards associated with alcohol and illegal drugs in the workplace.
  • Applying an appropriate testing and screening program to all employees, subcontractors, clients and visitors who enter company premises.
  • Providing employees with confidential counselling and assistance to prevent and manage the inappropriate use of alcohol and drugs and problems associated with the use.
  • Monitoring effective procedures for managing alcohol and illicit drug issues and applying those procedures fairly in a manner consistent with this policy.
  • Ensuring effective communication of this policy including individual responsibility and consequences of policy breaches to all stakeholders.

Ultvigor Construction Company Limited’s Managing Director has the overall responsibility to ensure the implementation of this policy at all company sites.
